How RoadService.app works
Submit one breakdown request. If an eligible approved mechanic is available, review the response, ETA, and price before assignment. Responses and arrival times vary by market and service.
Submit your breakdown request
Open the RoadService.app driver app or call (561) 726-3111. Drop a pin at your exact location, pick the service type, choose tractor or trailer, and optionally add a photo. More detail helps dispatch evaluate the request.
Online request intake is available at any time; provider response is availability-based.
Eligible mechanics are notified
Matching checks approved services, shop-level coverage, current compliance documents, on-duty status, and a fresh shared location. Proximity alone is not enough.
A notification is an opportunity to respond, not an assignment or a guaranteed match.
Mechanics compete with bids
Available eligible mechanics can respond with bids and ETAs. RoadService.app presents one customer-facing total for you to approve before dispatch.
The customer-approved total is the job price unless you separately approve a change.
Approve and dispatch
If a mechanic responds, review the quote and ETA, then approve before the mechanic is assigned or starts travel. Follow the payment instructions shown for that specific job.
After assignment, status and any shared location updates appear in the app; an ETA is still an estimate, not a guaranteed arrival time.
Back on the road
Your truck or trailer gets fixed. The mechanic uploads proof of work, you confirm completion and rate the tech. Fleet managers see repair cost and history auto-logged in their command center.
Completion depends on the provider arriving, diagnosing the problem, and performing the approved work.
Ready to try it?
Drivers can start a request. Mechanics can apply for eligible opportunities. Live availability and demand determine what happens next.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get a mechanic?
It varies by location, service, current demand, and eligible on-duty provider availability. If a mechanic responds, you can review that mechanic's ETA before approval; RoadService.app does not guarantee a response or arrival time.
Do I need to create an account?
You can call (561) 726-3111 to start a request. An app account supports request details, approvals, status, and history; signup time varies and does not guarantee provider availability.
What if no mechanic responds?
A request can remain without a response when no eligible mechanic is available. Check the nationwide directory to call listed providers directly or contact dispatch about alternatives; neither path guarantees service.
Can I use RoadService.app for planned maintenance, not just emergencies?
Yes. Fleet managers can schedule routine maintenance, DOT inspections, and PM visits through the fleet portal — not just emergency breakdowns.
