What RoadService.app is

RoadService.app is a dispatch broker that matches heavy-duty truck drivers with independent mobile mechanics. We are not a mechanic, repair shop, bank, or insurer. We do not own the trucks, employ the mechanics, or guarantee repair outcomes. When a job explicitly offers RoadService-managed payment or escrow, card processing is provided by a third-party payment processor.

Mechanic relationship

All mechanics dispatched through RoadService.app are independent contractors with their own business, insurance, and licensing. RoadService.app reviews required business information, current insurance, and a completed W-9 before approving a shop for dispatch. Mechanics submit their own bids; RoadService.app presents the customer with one all-in quote. The RoadService.app job fee is the exact difference between the customer-approved total and the accepted mechanic bid.

Payment

On-site collection: When the job instructions say payment is due at the truck, you pay the mechanic the customer-approved total directly. The agreed method may include cash, card-at-truck, check, Zelle, Venmo, ACH, or another method accepted by the mechanic. RoadService.app records the amount reported as collected and invoices the mechanic weekly for the exact difference between the customer-approved total and the accepted mechanic bid.

RoadService-managed payment or escrow: When the checkout or work order explicitly says RoadService.app is handling payment, the customer pays through the third-party payment processor under the deposit, capture, refund, and cancellation terms shown for that job. The mechanic must not collect the same payment again at the truck. RoadService.app does not store full card numbers.

Cancellations

Before you accept a quote, you may cancel without a RoadService.app job fee. After acceptance and dispatch, a cancellation or dispatch fee may apply. For a RoadService-managed payment or escrow job, the deposit, authorization, capture, and refund rules displayed in the accepted work order control. Contact dispatch at 1-561-726-3111 to coordinate.

Disputes

If the service was not performed to your satisfaction or the amount charged differs from the accepted quote, open a dispute via the "How did it go?" screen in the driver app or by emailing support@roadservice.app within 24 hours. We review evidence from both sides and mediate but cannot guarantee a specific outcome. Mechanic liability for damages caused during service is between you and the mechanic; their commercial insurance is the appropriate recourse.

Limitation of liability

RoadService.app is a marketplace and not liable for the acts or omissions of mechanics. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the dispatch fee for the specific transaction in question. WE PROVIDE THE PLATFORM "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

Acceptable use

No fraudulent requests. No abuse of mechanics or staff. Misuse may result in account suspension and forfeiture of dispatch fees paid.

Text messages

If you expressly enable SMS in your RoadService.app profile or otherwise provide the requested consent, RoadService.app may send recurring automated transactional texts to the phone number you provide. Messages may include new-job dispatch alerts, job responses, service-request status, and account or support notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to texts is not a condition of using or purchasing through RoadService.app.

Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. You may also disable dispatch SMS in your profile. After opting out, you may receive one confirmation message. For help, contact support@roadservice.app or 1-561-726-3111. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Disputes resolved in Palm Beach County, FL.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated by email with 30 days' notice.
