About RoadService.app
A nationwide truck-service directory plus one place to submit and coordinate roadside requests.
What we do
RoadService.app is a dispatch broker and nationwide provider directory. When a driver or fleet manager submits a breakdown request, eligible approved mechanics may respond with a bid or estimate and ETA for the customer to review before assignment.
The provider directory covers the United States and online requests can be submitted at any time. Dispatch coverage is different: a match, ETA, or arrival is not guaranteed and depends on location, service, demand, and eligible on-duty providers.
What we are not
RoadService.app is not a mechanic shop, bank, or insurer. Every mechanic in our network is an independent contractor with their own business, insurance, and licensing. We review current insurance and a W-9 before approving a shop for dispatch. Mechanics submit their own bids; we present a single all-in quote. Our job fee is the exact difference between the customer-approved total and the accepted mechanic bid.
In the on-site flow, payment happens directly between driver and mechanic at the truck. If a job explicitly offers RoadService-managed payment or escrow, a third-party processor handles the customer payment and the mechanic does not collect it again on site.
The problem we solve
When a semi goes down on the shoulder at 2 AM, the driver's only options used to be: call shops from a Google list until someone picks up, wait hours for an ETA with no pricing, pay whatever is asked. Fleet dispatchers managed this through relationships and spreadsheets.
We replace that scramble with one request — or one call — and a workflow for available mechanics to respond with pricing and an ETA that the customer can review before assignment.
For mechanics
Mobile mechanics and independent repair shops can apply to our network. Approved shops must keep required documents current, go on duty, and share a fresh location to remain eligible for matching. Shops set their own bids and choose which requests to pursue; approval does not guarantee leads, assignments, or revenue. Directory advertising is optional and separate from dispatch matching.
